How insurance teams run it
Solvency II and Solvency UK
EIOPA’s final Solvency II review instruments apply from 30 January 2027, and the PRA’s PS18/26 changes reporting templates from 31 December 2026. Each alert says which insurer, template or product line is affected.
AI in pricing and underwriting
Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 moved the AI Act’s high-risk date for life and health pricing models to 2 December 2027. The alert names the pricing models in scope and carries the new date.
Capital in every market
NAICOM’s recapitalization circular raised minimum capital for non-life insurers under NIIRA 2025, due by 30 July 2026. The obligation holds the quarterly board attestation and the regulator’s confirmation as evidence.
Product terms and distribution agreements
RegWatch Legal reviews bank-partner distribution agreements and unit-linked terms against new supervisory powers, such as suspending redemption rights, and redlines the liquidity policy as tracked changes. Outputs are drafts for professional review.
Questions
Does RegWatch read insurance supervisors outside Europe?
Yes, where they publish online: NYDFS in New York, the Prudential Authority in South Africa and NAICOM in Nigeria sit beside EIOPA and the PRA. Your watchlists set which ones are read.
Can RegWatch track AI rules alongside prudential rules?
Yes. A watchlist can combine solvency, reporting and AI governance topics, so changes to the AI Act arrive in the same Inbox as capital and reporting rules.
Where does our data live?
In RegWatch’s cloud, or in your own cloud account with Private VPC: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud or another provider. Tenant isolation is enforced in the database with Postgres row-level security, and customer content is not used to train generalized AI models by default.

- Horizon Scanning and FCA Expectations: What UK Firms Must DemonstrateWe found no FCA Handbook rule that names horizon scanning; the expectation is assembled from SYSC, the Principles and the Senior Manager Conduct Rules. This piece maps each anchor to the evidence a supervisor can ask for, with a 17-row checklist and the enforcement record for firms that missed changes.
- Regulatory Obligations Register Template: How to Build One That Survives an AuditA free, ungated obligations register template with 28 annotated fields, six populated rows from DORA, and the change-management columns that decide whether the register survives an audit. It is built for a time when regulators collect registers in prescribed formats.
- Regulatory Change Management Policy Template (FFIEC-Aligned)A 13-section regulatory change management policy template published in full with no email gate, plus a crosswalk that maps each section to the FFIEC rating-system language and OCC examination procedure it answers, and a change log entry with a worked example.
